Artist Statement

I am honoring my mentor Mason, also donating my painting for Athletes for Kids auction.

I am the boy with the red jacket in this painting. Mason when you became my peer tutor I felt like this football dude actually is kind. You are something. You asked if I want to hang out together. Fast forward, now we’re both in high school, we are still good friends. Mason, I really look up to you, man. I do mean it literally too. I hope you can see that.
